The Northern Ringneck Snake (Northern Ringneck Snake) is barely bigger than an earthworm. This one found its way inside the house and was resting under a box I moved. The second photo clearly shows how tiny it is — as it slithers towards a 5/8" wooden dowel.
Having helped it find its way back outside, I was sorry to see it being eaten by a large toad only minutes later.
